Who we are:
We are 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. We are parents. We are teachers. We are counselors. We are principals. We are advocates. We are allies. We are a team.
Why we meet:
Our GSA brings together LGBTQ+ and straight students to support each other, provide a safe place to socialize, and create a platform to fight for racial, gender, LGBTQ+, and economic justice.
We are empowering ourselves by learning about the realities facing students today and reaching out to educate our school and communities, advocate for just policies that protect LGBTQ youth from harassment and violence, and organizing in coalition with other youth groups across identity lines to address broader issues of oppression.
Our work focuses on leadership development and activism that prioritizes building alliances not only across sexual orientation and gender identity lines, but also across race, ethnicity, and class lines.

What we do:
We meet at Mann Middle School and eat snacks, talk about life, and discuss issues that affect us all. We watch movies together and think of ways to educate others about what we are learning. We create powerful messages to share in our communities. We create ways to make positive changes for EVERYONE at our school.
